After a courageous battle, Wendy passed peacefully with family at her side. Defying all odds, Wendy lived a rich and wonderful life with a characteristic determination for over a decade of milestones that her diagnosis sought to deny.

Wendy leaves behind a loving husband in Neale, sons and partners Sam and Kiara, Tom and Kristy who will be forever proud of their kind, strong and devoted wife and Mum. We will hold you in our hearts always.

Funeral Notice

Funeral Details

The Funeral Service to Celebrate the Life of Mrs Wendy Jeanette Fursdon will be held in the Mason Park Chapel, 95 Mason Street, Wangaratta on Friday March 15, 2019 commencing at 10.30am.
A private cremation will follow the service.
No flowers by request. In lieu, a donation made in memory of Wendy to Northeast Health Palliative Care would be greatly appreciated. Donation envelopes will be available at the Chapel.
The Memories Jar will be available at the entrance of the Chapel for anybody that would like to share a favourite memory or story of Wendy. These memories will be passed onto her family as a cherished keepsake.

Dear Wendy,
I will remember you for your warmth, your strength of character and independence, your athleticism and fabulous cooking.
I have many memories of times shared in Fiji with you and Neale, our children and other special families and friends. One in particular involving a dinner party with loud music and a visit from the local police due to noise complaints. Was a bloody good night!
To Neale, Sam and Tom, I am saddened by your loss and I know you will all miss her dearly. I hope you can find solace in the knowledge she gave this battle her all and is now free.

To Wendy
My family were so lucky to of met you, Neale, Sam and Tom in Suva, Fiji. Our two years living there was definitely enriched having met you.
The great times we spent exploring Fiji with several other familys on weekend get aways will never be forgotten.
I will rember you as a funny, caring, sporty, strong person and so much more.
A fond memory drinking one or two Martinies sitting in your pool springs to mind. The Martinies were stickley to keep the mozzies from biting us of course.
