Loved Husband of Nancy. Loved Father of Zoe and Zeno. Loved Father-in-law of Renchen. Loved Grandfather of Lelea.

A Service of Thanksgiving to celebrate the life of the late Dr. Roger James SWORDER will be held at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Wattle Street Bendigo on THURSDAY (November 17th 2016) commencing at 1pm.

The Funeral cortege will leave at the conclusion of the service for the White Hills Monumental Cemetery.

It is with great sadness that we learn of the passing of Dr Roger Sworder. At Duneira we were honoured to hear his series of lectures on “What Plato thought of Our Modernity”.
Roger was the one and only “Pub Philosopher” for the Woodend Winter Arts Festival, appearing in three Festivals. He enjoyed challenging audiences and acceptable fashions on thinking. His last appearance was in 2015 on the Romantic Rejection of Modern Science. His vast knowledge, wit and generosity of spirit will be missed
