Passed over peacefully at the Austin Hospital, surrounded by family, on 14th October 2023 aged 78 years, finally pain free.

Loving husband to Margaret, wonderful father and father-in-law to Edward and Cindy, Paul and Veronique, Jane and Ben. Proud and loving grandfather of Hannah, Ethan, Sam, Jasper, Leo, Rose, Acacia, Jasmin and their partners.

We’d like to thank everyone for the outpouring of support we’ve received to date, particularly from his family in Canada, along with local family and friends. Rick was well loved and we look forward to celebrating his life.

Funeral Details

In celebration of his life a memorial service will be held at Bridges Restaurant 1075 Heidelberg – Kinglake Rd, Hurstbridge on Monday October 23, 2023 commencing at 1pm.

The family warmly invite you to stay on following the service for refreshments and a toast to a life lived fully.

In lieu of flowers, and if so inclined, the Austin hospital would be a worthy cause for you to donate to in Rick’s honour. He always received such wonderful treatment from their staff. Click HERE for the donation page.
