Passed away peacefully at Northeast Health on Sunday 19th July 2020 with his loving family by his side. Aged 87 years.
Dearly loved husband of Gwenda for 64 years.
Loved father and father in law of Christine and David, Judith, Robyn and Glen.
Much loved Poppy of Danielle and Jeff, Jodie and Mark, Laura and Dan, Cameron and Danielle, Rhiannon, Megan and Jake and Great Poppy of Jake and Ella, Spencer and Isla, Noah, and Lucas.
To hear your voice, to see you smile,
To sit and talk a little while,
To be together in the same old way,
Would be my greatest wish today.
You were my rock – your loving wife Gwenda.
God looked upon his garden,
And saw an empty space,
And then he looked upon you,
And saw your smiling face.
He put his arms around you,
And called you home to rest,
God’s garden must be beautiful,
Because he only takes the best.
Gone but not forgotten, you will live in our hearts forever.

You never failed to make us smile with your quick witted one liners and pranks.

The Christmas turkey, your love of food and the good old Macca’s soft serve will be etched in our minds always.
You never took life for granted. You knew that growing old was a privilege and you made sure you lived life, saw the world and did what you wanted to do.
