Philip Anderson shared

Dear John, Peter, Vicky and Family,

I was deeply saddened to hear of Maureen’s passing. Having known Maureen for more than 45 years, I feel truly blessed to have shared so many moments of her life and friendship. I will always cherish the wonderful times spent with Maureen and her beloved husband Johnny — especially the memorable gatherings they hosted at their home in Double Bay, filled with warmth, laughter and friendship, and made all the more unforgettable by their highly amusing parrot.

I will also never forget Vicky’s birthday celebration in Melbourne, nor the special times when Maureen visited John and me in Lane Cove when we were students. Those moments speak so clearly of her kindness, generosity and the deep care she showed for family and friends.

My thoughts and heartfelt condolences are especially with you, John, Peter and Vicky, at this very sad time. I hope you find comfort in the many loving memories you hold and in knowing how deeply Maureen was respected and loved by all who knew her.

Maureen will always be remembered with great affection and will forever hold a special place in my heart.

With my sincere sympathy,

Philip Anderson
