A beautiful, creative, endlessly kind, strong, unconditionally loving, enthusiastic and relentlessly kind woman has left us. Marianne Cuskelly, lovingly known as Mazz, has left this life and journeyed on to reunite with her beloved father Steve and mother Pat.

In 1971, Marianne married the love of her life, Colin Cuskelly, at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, soon adding to their family, first with Jodi and soon after with Dru. As a young family, the two stood together through many hardships including extended separations due to Colin’s military service; a chronically ill child; and many moves around the country.

Despite the challenges, Mazz remained the devoted wife of Colin, dedicated mother of Jodi & Russell and Dru & Kellie, and dearest grandmother of Jayson & Rachel, Jaimi, Zoe & Alex, Darci, Xanthia, Willow, Jade, Regan, and Mikayla.

She set a shining example as the big sister to Sue, Anthony and Paul & Lisa and as a dedicated aunt to Nathan & Sandra (Tristan and Madeline), Sophie & Jacob, Liam, Jac, Mia & Oliver and Bronte.

Mazz was loved by everyone who met her. With close friends and surrogate family too numerous to name, stretching from her home in Bendigo to people in every corner of the globe.

As the loving and caring foundation of her family, words cannot begin to express the hole that Mazz’s departure will leave in our hearts and lives. We must all now endeavour to fill this void with the wonderful memories, laughter and love, compassion and good nature that Mazz instilled in all who knew her.

We – her husband, children, grandchildren, siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends – never have, and never will doubt the love that Mazz felt for each and every one of us, and will support each other just as she taught us to do.
