Maria, thank you for getting in touch with me a few weeks before you passed. We had a lovely chat and I realise now it was your way of saying goodbye without making me worry and make a fuss. I am not surprised, that’s just the type of wonderful and kind person you were. Always thinking about others, even through your pain. Travel well, the after life is blessed to have you. xxxx

Im sorry not to have seen you before you left us and I’m sorry I won’t be there for your farewell so please know that you are in my thoughts everyday I’m in Thailand having the treatment I only wish you could’ve had.
The world is never going to be a better place without you but the after life will certainly be better with you in it so until we meet again, it was a pleasure to have known you!

Our Dearest Maria,
You have fought this fight with such courage and force.
It takes an incredibly strong person to face what you have faced with the positivity and grace that you have.
Even though geographically we are miles apart the times we have spent together have been incredibly precious. The time we were all able to come and visit you in 2017 will forever be such a special time of family uniting. Our hearts are deeply saddened with the thought that the next visit will be missing your presence. Although you may not be there in body your spirit and name will be in our hearts and on our lips for the rest of our lives.
Your presence is not one that can be replaced or forgotten it will simply be missed. We can not comprehend the pain and loss of those that you lived your life alongside but as your family we ache with them.
The comfort that settles our hearts is the knowledge that you are no longer in pain. May you rest in deep peace our dear Maria.

Maria, you were an absolute spark of pure joy and your zest for life was so addictive! I am so shocked and gutted to hear of your illnesses and I regret that we allowed the busyness of life and moving away separate us over the years… I hold beautiful memories of your infectious smile and hilarious humour, you were just so much FUN!!!
