Date of birth: 29 December, 1983
Date of passing: 08 August, 2021

On Sunday 8th August we lost the Captain of our family – Jack’s daddy, Katie’s husband and best friend to us both.

GRT, you are our everything and we cannot imagine our world without you. For now all we can do is take comfort in the time we had together and knowing that we were all so happy. We are so grateful you dedicated your life to our family and are so proud of the father and husband you were, and will always be.

We are overwhelmed by the love and support shown to us during this time, and will be forever grateful for the incredible care shown to both George and our family by the Austin Health ICU team and exceptional Dr Helen Opdam.

We love you daddy, you will always be our number 1,

The Tsindos & Russell family have lost a beautiful member. A good son, sibling, cousin, grandson, nephew and most of all husband to Kate and father to Jack. His smile, humour, love to family and his love of Kate. And there was Jack, joined at the hip and a friendship we all knew and loved. Each of us have been blessed and for me his greeting “hi Andy” will be forever remembered, your presence always felt. Andy, Nick, Alex

Gorgeous George,
I couldn’t have asked for a better brother in law. A beautiful man inside & out. Such a wonderful husband to our Katie & a devoted father to Jack. You’ve always been there for us with no expectation of anything in return. You enriched our lives with your love, smooth dance moves, fresh produce from the Preston market and the best pork belly going around. Thank you for everything, I will miss you.
– Jane

George,
I’m going to miss your sense of humour and banter at the Bridgman functions whilst the women make a fuss. I loved our kayak fishing trips, time spent exploring Lakes Entrance with Neil and perhaps a few too many drinks. I’ll always remember you as a great father. Going to sorely missed mate.

Dear George
It was a sudden parting
Too bitter to forget
We often sit and think of you
To think you couldn’t say good bye
But those special memories of you
Will always make us smile.
Rest In Peace dear friend
You will always be remembered for such a kind man you were.

You were a wonderful addition to our family and we loved you like a son. We are devastated by your passing. You were kind, gentle, funny yet sincere and we were so proud of how well you had progressed in your working career. You were a totally devoted husband and father treating our daughter like a princess and our grandson like a prince. Were were completely in awe when you stepped into the stay at home role to support Kate’s career and to care more for Jack. The three of you were so happy and content, set for a wonderful lifetime together. We know that your spirit will live on within Jack as he goes through life. Every time we look at him we will see you. You will be in our hearts and thoughts forever.

Tribute to Buddy
When George was born, George Tsindos thought we named George after him and George Russell thought the same. It doesn’t matter because he was his own person. He tried so hard at everything he had a go at. Even as a young boy he had a an amazing understanding of right and wrong, of good and bad. He is a loyal friend to all he met. His relationships with friends from Peninsula Grammar and Scotch College will be forever remembered. As a family it was one in all in and that was that. He has tried hard to carry that on. Our rowing days with Toorak College emanated that. It didn’t matter what George started on he would do his utmost for the best outcome. His moto was, good better best, never let it rest, until your good is better and your better is the best. We shall miss George terribly and never know why he was taken so early and will love him forever xxx Mum Dad Laura Alice

George,
I’m overwhelmed by your passing. You were a wonderful, kind and gentle man totally devoted to Kate and little Jack. You treated me with kindness and respect and even took me to one of my medical appointments.

It was always a joy to see you, Kate and Jack together, all so happy. I will always remember your smiling face, and your image will live on in Jack.

Kate, you have been such a wonderful and supportive granddaughter. I’m heartbroken for you and Jack. George will live on in my heart as Grandpa has. I will think of them both everyday.

I’m so sorry for the sudden loss of George. I have many great memories of times spent by the banks of various rivers throughout Victoria from our rowing coaching days. George was always up for a laugh and a beer and could be counted on for his quick wit, humour and access to all of the members areas at the best Yacht clubs. He was such a happy and proud dad and I loved seeing photos of George enjoying life on the water at Lakes Entrance. Much love to all of George’s family and friends.

George,
We started as co-workers a few years ago and over the journey we became good friends.
When you left to become a stay-at-home Dad, we continued to stay in touch and it was awesome to see you start your own Landscaping business of which you were very proud…I was proud of you too mate!
You were a good and kind soul, and your family was your world.
I’ll miss our coffee catchups and chats…you’ll be missed but never forgotten!!
Rest in peace my friend

Dear Kate, Jack, Gary, Sue, Laura and Alice,

I’m so sorry for the loss of your beloved George. We had so much fun working together as rowing coaches, racing along the banks of the river and telling each other jokes. He was kind, funny, and fit right in with all of the girls. I’ll never forget his loud laughter and cheeky grin.

Our coaches catch ups won’t be the same without him, and we will always raise a glass in his honour when we are together.

Much love, Lucinda
