Dane you will be greatly missed. You were a fabulous work colleague.

We are devastated to hear of such a tragic passing. Such a gentle and sincere person were my memories of Dane. I recall in the summer of ‘95 staying up till 6am at the Apollo Bay pub, taking the bar hostage with a small group and playing every Beatles song we could remember. Fun times with the band and as friends beyond that… whilst we hadn’t spoken in years Bec and I will always have fond recollections of our time with this wonderful guy.

You made me feel very welcome to EC some 16 years ago; you were the Australian version of my 3rd brother in Singapore and I will surely miss you; I will miss that phone call to consult a spelling or a word and that guilty grin when you returned some very well overdue equipment. Thank you, Dane, for the chats, the laughs and your kindness. No more pain now – rest in peace.

Dane, it will be hard to imagine life around school without you. You always had a smile and a story for everyone, and I hope you really knew how important you were to everyone, from the students, staff and parents. My sincerest condolences to your family and friends. Rest in peace my friend. x

Dane, coming to work at EC won’t be the same without you. I will miss our chats about music, sport and our families. I will miss having a whinge and a laugh together whenever we had to set up an assembly or move a T.V. I will miss your frequent phone calls asking if I have seen your misplaced keys. I will miss you coming down to the maintenance shed fossicking around or you having and sneaky smoke out the back during the holidays. Will really miss you Daneo, we all will.
