It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Barry Ernest (Barry, Baz, Dawg) Jones.
Barry lost his battle with cancer and peacefully passed away at 11:15am at the Northeast Hospital, Wangaratta, surrounded by family and is now peaceful and pain free.
Barry was the much loved and adored son of Doreen and Ernest (dec). Treasured brother and brother-in-law of Christine and Terry, Margaret and Stephen (dec).
Loved father and great mate of Luke and Jess; Kristylea and John; and Lachlan. Cherished grandpa of Caprice and Sienna.
Dearly loved and loving partner of Kerri.
Barry fought right until the end and if it were a battle that could have been beat – he would have won so he is still a winner in our eyes!
Our hero. We are so very proud of him and will miss him immensely. As we are sure so many of you will too.
We know he has touched many hearts and we do hope we reach all of those whom he has touched or been touched by.

Funeral Notice

Funeral Details

The Funeral Service to Celebrate the Life of Barry (Baz or Dawg) Jones will be held in the Mason Park Chapel, 95 Mason Street, Wangaratta on Thursday January 24, 2019 commencing at 10.30am.
Private Cremation will follow the Service. Flowers are welcome, or if preferred, a donation made in memory of Barry to the Cancer Council would be greatly appreciated. Donation envelopes will be available at the Chapel.

Barry we still remember the first time 25 years ago you walked down our driveway to buy your first Bulldog Rosanne from us. Who would of thought we would of become instant friends.

We shared many a good times with our Bulldogs and your new found love of Bikes. You and Paul bantered for many years over what was better Harley’s orTriumph ‘s motor bikes and riding many miles together running a muck here and there.

We watched your kids Luke, Kristylea & Lachlan grow up to fine young people and you watched ours Jaydan and Mackayla do the same.

We enjoyed your many stories of travels around Australia and were pleased we got to catch up with you just recently.

You put up a huge fight and we now know you are in a better place with your mates Rosanne, Regie, Shinner & Nugget having a sit down and pat looking down over the rest of us.

Rest easy our friend till we meet again.
