Farewell my son,
You now have the sky world to roam!
Let the sky be sea, the clouds be land and mountains.
Build us a palace, with fields of cabbage
and garlic in the veggie patch.
For one day we shall all come calling by
when our journey on the lands below be complete.
Cheers Braveheart!
Let the stars be light …
Roam well … the worlds in the sky!

When Luke was in prep Block City was his favourite poem. His teacher at St Augustine, Yarraville, was reading it to the year 2s. Luke used to recite the poem to me and Amy-lee, in her pram as we walked home from school. That is my most beautiful memory.
Keith’s Vendor term contract was about expiring. Tony, Magda and Luke were tenants. Tony had an apparent allergy to work. Magda’s income from the Victorian Railways and a redundancy package had the family mortgage free in 1987. On 16th May 1988 the family was complete with the arrival of Amy-lee.
Luke always had this gentle cautious manner. He was in no hurry to be born into the hot January of 1983 arriving two weeks overdue. Luke did his first pee on Doctor Frajman’s shoe.
When Luke started walking Keith will follow behind with a pillow. On warm days, Keith would take Luke to Williamstown beach on the bus. Keith could not walk on the sand. So he would attach a long rope to Luke’s harness and off he went chasing seagulls whilst Keith stayed on the path.
Luke took to the road at an early age of two and a half. One day Keith saw the front door wide open and yelled out in panic! There goes Tony, running down the middle of the road after Luke on his little red electric motorbike. Father and a sobbing son can later be seen duct taping the bike back together.
Dear Mary, Chris and Peter. I am sincerely sorry that Luke chose to go so early. Thank you from the very core my heart for, my son Luke’s beautiful last ride. Xoxo
