Passed away peacefully in the company of her family at Frankston hospital on October 17, 2019.
Aged 86 years.
Beloved daughter of Laurence and Alice Johns (both dec).
Loving wife of Selwyn (dec).
Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Lindsay, Robin and Wendy, Garry and Joyce, Philip, Heather.
Loving grandmother of Laura, Glen, Mark and Sharon, Grace, James, Serena, Elizabeth, Matthew and Bethany, Shelley and Andrew, Mel, Jeremy, Janelle and Laurena.
Great grandmother of Kynan, Alyssa, Olivia, Archie, Austin, Aaliyah, William, Step great grandmother to Rachael, Maddy and Macen.
You were an amazing lady, loved dearly and missed deeply by all.
Forever at peace now with your Lord and Saviour.

Funeral Notice

Funeral Details

The Committal Service for Mrs Valerie Rosamond Jackel will be held at the Wangaratta Lawn Cemetery, Mason Street, Wangaratta on Friday October 25, 2019 at 10.00am. A Memorial Service will follow in the Mason Park Chapel, 95 Mason Street, Wangaratta starting at 10.30am.

Heather Scovell shared

Farewell to a dear friend of Sackville & Lane. Val applied her knitting and crochet skills to so many of our projects over the years. Her work was always perfect, and came back with helpful tips on how we could improve our patterns. She could work out the best way to do things, and repair or fix problem jumpers and other projects. She continued to do fine crochetwork and knitting.
Val is admired for her skills throughout the Wangaratta craft community. We always enjoyed our contact with her, her keep-busy, can-do, practical attitude.
We will miss her very much and will continue to appreciate the work she has done through the garments and projects that are still part of the Sackville & Lane story.
