Vale Jason Watts
A dearly loved and respected member of the Victorian Careers Practitioner community. Your passion for Bond University, & the opportunities it gave our students was always so infectious, reflecting your passion for life itself. We have known your struggles, admired your strength of will & character, but most of all your love of your gorgeous family. Your inspiration will live on in our lives and those of your boys.

Sadly missed & always in our hearts.

I am so lucky to have known such a wonderful man and am so sad to be saying goodbye so soon.

Wattsy……….. Simply a superstar.

Arrived at Parkwood CC (Warranwood CC) as a tall, skinny, extremely curly haired kid who could hardly bat nor bowl – yet confident! Within a year confidence had a new friend ….determination. Within another year you played 1st Eleven cricket against Vermont (from memory it was 87/88) and you bowled ‘heat’. From there you never looked back! Awards, accolades – both on and off the field.

I wish i was half the person you are! Superstar to the end!

Look forward to talkin cricket crap again some day…. Knackers.

My deepest condolences to the Watts family.
Dearest Jason & Julia I was terribly sad when I heard the news of your passing but was lucky enough to have known you for many years but fortunately I was lucky to meet you all again in America in 2015. You were a great son, husband, father and an uncle. Please know that you will remain in our hearts and prayers forever. RIP x

Jason , our Mothers’ Group Families will never be the same. You were the quiet one with a proud history of service to this country. We discovered soon enough your love of Essendon, Star Wars , motor bikes and all things cricket. Your devotion to Julia, Connor and Dylan were clear to see. The years of chemotherapy did not dim your enthusiasm to coach the kids’ footy and basketball teams. The last few months were so difficult , but you faced them with such determination and bravery . The loss of Julia was so heart breaking, but you confronted your own painful battle and it brought us to tears.
We promise to raise a toast in your honour at every Mothers’ Group dinner . Your children will be part of our children. We will help them reach adulthood . Connor and Dylan will never forget you both.
Rest easy now Jason . Give Julia a kiss and a hug from all of us.
Your dear friends,
Marghi, Richard, Vicky, Spiro, Helen, Scott, Diana , Dan, Messina and James
with their children
Luca, Andrew, Ella, Peter, Tom, Sarah, Michael, Marc, Tove -Lise and Tavlin

Our deepest sympathy to Connor, Dylan, Kathy and Geoff. Jason a true gentleman and salt of the earth, along with Julia has endowed their boys with a fine legacy. We met professionally soon realising we had much in common due to our connection and history with Ararat. Jason was the consumate family man and his love for Julia and boys was paramount. Even speaking a few weeks ago it was about his boys. A loving couple reunited leaving their boys in the good hands of their grandparents and family.

It’s taken 5 years for me to find the words mate. Even now there is not a month that goes by where I don’t think about how much you helped me become the man I am today. You guided me through and out of my darkest days. You were always the definition of a noble man and you, your family and your kids were the last people to ever deserve what fate bestowed upon you. I loved you like a brother and I will always be just a phone call away for your boys. Hopefully I can help them like you helped me.
